MrTruck and MrsTruck buy a new truck with a Coyote and accessories, what happened to the old truck?
Watch as MrTruck and MrsTruck buy a new 2024 Ford F150 XL with a Coyote engine, and find out what happened to their old truck. This loaded truck review includes accessories and upgrades you won't want to miss! Been 6 years since my last new truck. This time, got the model I wanted with a Coyote 5.0L V-8, 6 seats, 6.5' truck bed. Rated by EPA at 24 MPG and it gets even better. Not buying an ESP extended warranty this time. I'll shop for a aftermarket extended warranty when the factory bumper to bumper warranty is about to expire. mrtruck.com/ store.mrtruck.com/

I’m contemplating on going back to a full-size truck. I am old school on my views on trucks. For “2025” it’s now dropped down to being available on a Big Horn trim but not as a standalone option click multi-function tailgate on build and price For additional “$1,000” ok reasonable immediately get pop up must purchase additional “AT-LEAST” big horn equipment group “1” for additional “$1,600” 👎👎 I would be at my local Ram dealer Saturday morning putting down a deposit for a special order Tradesman “IF” and “ONLY” if The multi-function tailgate was made available. A 3.0 Duramax is not a long term owner's best bet. The service fornoil pump belt at 150K is a barebones repair at over 3 grand unless you have a cheap garage. The reality is that at 150k miles there stands a great chance the timing chain guides and maybe the chain and tensioner are needed. When youbpull transmission and transfer case to remove engine back end cover to do that belt, a conscientious mechanic is going to want to repair what he finds. That could make that oil pump belt grow to a more than $5k job or more.

Good workhorse and features for the money. What happened to your love of the LZ0 baby Duramax from GM though? Thought that was going to be the next Mr. Truck-truck from the GMC Ike Gauntlet you did w/TFL? It's a loong bridge in logic from a 3L diesel I-6 to a good old V8 is all. Mostly kidding here of course, as shopping thoroughly changes one's views as you learn all the pro's/con's of vehicles... Mr. Truck, greetings. My name is Stuart. I live in Naples, Florida. I've had the pleasure of going to the Gen y factory meeting. Quite a few of the nice people there. Amish people. Great people Mennonite people. Great people. Beautiful product as far as looks beautiful product. As far as quality, One big problem. The product does not work. There's a reason 99.9% of 18 wheelers use air ride suspension. They don't use torsion axles. They use air ride. There's a reason because torsion just does not seem to work well, especially on the receiver hitch and sometimes on a gooseneck or a fifth wheel. I have seen their products in action. They are far far far to stiff and not compliant. As far as ride. I have personally owned a new more motor coach and I had a shocker 12K airbag hitch and it was wonderful. I now own a 2024 Ram 3500 crew cab long bed dually with a northern light truck camper in the truck bed and I'm going to Bobby buy an air safe hitch out of North Dakota way way more compliant way more active. Sorry to say this. They are good people at Gen y excellent people. Their product does not really work that well. I've seen them. I've been there. I've seen the air safe. I've seen the shocker both work better now. The only problem with the air safe is it's twice the price almost $1,300 bucks but just a little FYI. I've never seen torsion on the gen y work like it should. I even mentioned that to them and I had my motor coach with me. They didn't like what I had to say but there are reviews especially from people in Australia and other areas. They do not like the Gen y they do not work that well. I'm sorry to say this. I've also had the pleasure of speaking you a couple of three times. Maybe maybe three times two or three times. Again, sorry to say this. I wish they'd go to airbags. It'd be so much better really. It would just my two and three and five cents in a dime is worth. However, I love you that you got a new truck. Excellent. Actually, I would love to discuss this with you. Please give me a call on my cell at your earliest convenience. 434 -251-5007 Stuart and Naples, Florida.😅😅😅😅😅😅 Just another thought. It seems somebody's got some really really big money behind Jen y Big money. Excellent but still the hitches don't work that well. Thank you.

Greetings Stuart, most horse trailers have torsion axles. My tilt trailer has torsion axles giving me the ability to tilt closer to the ground and load cars. I've known Carl and the gang for years. I've tested them with bumper pull trailers, gooseneck and 5th-wheel conversions. So have several RV manufactures. The only problem with torsion is less wheel travel and independent front to back and side to side. This means the axles don't work together like leaf springs that equalize. Thanks, Kent

Will these help with the rear sagging when I tow a trailer with my 1999 Ford E150 van? I use a weight distribution hitch but the rear still sags.

@@MrTruckTVlol it’s the Ford Performance supercharger kit. Definitely not needed (or even desirable) for a working rig. My older 2nd gen 5.0 has way more git up n go and towing power than I really could ever want. This new one is probably really great just as is.

Congratulations! However, I'd hang onto that 2nd gen RAM Cummins, so you can tow something more substantial if needed!

I’d like to hear more about your issues with your last truck, and why they denied coverage; I bought the Ford ESP due to Ford telling me it was supported by the factory and was treated by Ford just like the 36-month bumper to bumper warrantee with the same coverage (minus any specific exceptions selected when buying the plan like rental\loaner vehicle availability). Maybe you can discuss this with Andre the next time you do a video or podcast with him.

Both times when ESP denied paying for repairs. They wanted to blame me. Ford stepped in the first time and again this time. ESP did work fixing my cam phasers on the 3.5L. It's a long story that I might talk to Andre about.

Is their any anchor points inside the storage cubby’s in the bed? If so, you can buy a cheap spool of Velcro and attach it to the anchor points to secure things inside the cubby like a bottle jack.

Great choice, great engine! Save the V8’s! Today’s work trucks are like luxury trucks from the 90’s. I recommend adding a Torsen diff like TrueTrac if you miss the locker; it works at all speeds, doesn’t need anything wired, and does a great job at controlling wheel slip in rough conditions. I added it on my last truck, a 2019 RAM 1500, and I actually prefer it over the e-locker in my current F150. I also recommend upgrading the bulbs in the headlights; they have a lot of great reasonably inexpensive LED bulbs available that plug right into the stock socket and provide much better light than the dim stock halogens. I also think the RAS kit does a better job towing then the heavier Ford leaf springs; stiffer when you need it, softer when you don’t. Be careful about forgetting to unplug the inverter when the truck is off; many sockets stay powered, and have no problem killing your battery to keep the inverter powered. I learned the hard way 😕

LED headlights are now standard on all F150’s for 2024! So is the 12” display, 12” digital dash, and 36 gallon fuel tank. Long live the Coyote V8!

Their only problem is oil pump chain location. ITS A HUGE ONE. $6,000 PLUS TO REPLACE IT EVERY 120,000 MILES OTHER THEN THAT SEEMS A PRETTY GOOD SAFE FAMILY SUV

Love the videos. I do have a question about weight reduction with altitude. It says deduct 2% per 1000 feet for gross combined. It sounds like you mentioned gross combined is 18,200 lbs. But at 8,000 feet we would have to deduct 16% of gross combined weight correct? So we would have to lose 2,912 lbs at 8,000 feet?
